Connect your device to the computer.
Odin should automatically detect your device. In the lower-left corner of the Odin user interface, you will see a message that says “On! "Added!" And meanwhile, in the ID: COM section, you will see a light blue box that says "COM:3" (the number depends on which USB port you connected the device cable to and it doesn't matter).
